Judy Russell Presents invites you to “Be Our Guest” this summer as they present Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. This production is proudly sponsored by Canadian Tire.
The music for Beauty and the Beast was written by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, and book by Linda Woolverton. The musical was adapted from the 1991 Walt Disney film of the same name. Beauty and the Beast tells the story of a prince who is magically transformed into a terrible beast as punishment for his selfish ways. To return to his human form he must learn to love and be loved in return or he and his household will remain transformed forever.
All eight songs from the Original Disney film were used in the stage production, as well as one song which was cut from the film and six new songs written specifically for the stage production.
